Man Takes Pregnancy Test as a Joke, Finds Out Bad News

Sure, men do some silly things. But when Redditor CappnPoopdeck decided to pee on the pregnancy test his ex-girlfriend had left in his bathroom, it saved his life.

Surprise, surprise, the test was positive! Thinking it was hilarious, he posted a picture of the test on Reddit. Funny? Not so much. Almost immediately, another Redditor commented that he should see an oncologist.

“You may have testicular cancer! Get to an oncologist, tell them you took a pregnancy test and it came out positive.”

Turns out, the hormones produced when a man has testicular cancer can be very similar to a woman's pregnancy hormones, and therefore may trigger a positive reading on a home pregnancy test.

CappnPoopdeck went to his doctor, who confirmed that he did indeed have testicular cancer. Thanks to the internet, the growth was caught early, and he's looking at about a 99% survival rate.
