Man Escapes Police Custody During Prisoner Exchange in Clinton Township

Police in Clinton Township say a man escaped custody as they attempted to transport him from Macomb County into the custody of St. Clair County.

The man, who was being held on outstanding warrants, escaped into a nearby wooded area while police were attempting to turn him over to the Marysville police department on Saturday.

UPDATE:  The Detroit News reports that the man is 21-year-old Nicholas Ian Mosher. He  is 6 feet, 3 inches tall, about 180 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes, police said. When he was last seen, he was wearing hospital scrubs and a cast on his left arm or wrist.
