Man Calls 911, Asks Cops to Make a Beer Run

Talk about a bizarre beer run.

The AP is reporting that Raymond Roberge of Bridgeport, CT, dialed 911 three times on Sunday. When authorities finally showed up to his house, the 65-year-old man gave them money “to go to the store and buy him some beer.”

As you might guess, Roberge was arrested and charged with misusing the 911 system before he was released on $500 bond. He now faces criminal charges, according to the report.

The report adds that Roberge has dialed 911 upwards of 79 times, including one instance in which he offered police “$20 and some loose change to sit with him.”

I hope to be a little more graceful and intelligent as I grow older.
