Have you ever accidentally butt-dialed someone, or has someone butt-dialed you?  It happens more often than one might think, and usually all you can make out is ambient noise or static.  But on rare occasion, you end up listening into a conversation that perhaps you weren't meant to hear.

That's what happened to a man in Tennessee when Garret O'Connor was having dinner with a female acquaintance.  According to a report, he was talking to her about getting high and going to a drug dealer's house, not knowing that he had accidentally dialed 911.

Police were dispatched and arrived as O'Connor and his female friend were pulling out.  They searched the car and found some marijuana and paraphernalia under the seat where he was sitting. He was arrested, charged with possession and released on bond.  O'Connor had no idea that he called police until they told him.

So the moral of the story?  Be sure to lock your phone before discussing drug deals!
