In a scene right out of a movie or television show, a man is attempting to cross the Atlantic using hundreds of multi-colored balloons.

Jonathan Trappe took off from a field in Maine on Thursday in his bid for a trans-Atlantic crossing using more than 300 helium-filled balloons like those used in the movie "Up."  Trappe has worked on this project for two-years and hopes to be the first person to be successful at a trans-Atlantic crossing with balloons. If all goes to plan, the journey could take three to six days and he could end up in Africa or Norway depending on wind conditions. You can follow along on his journey at his Facebook page here.

What do you think? Will he make it?
