Lapeer Fire Chief is not confirming rumors about arson as of this morning. However, the State Fire Marshall is there to investigate. The flames started in the business next to the PIX Theater.

Lapeer's assistant fire chief says the fire started around 7 p.m. Tuesday in an apartment above Burke's Flowers.People living in the apartments were evacuated, but no one was hurt.Fire crews and state fire investigators are expected to be on the scene through the day today.
