Saturday, May 12th is the 20th annual Letter Carriers "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive. It's so easy to help feed the hungry, as you don't even have to leave your house to do it. Simply place a bag or box of non-perishable food items by your mailbox on Saturday, and your mail carrier will pick it up for delivery to the food bank.

The food drive is the largest one-day food-collection in the nation. The need for food is greater than ever, so your help is vital.
Sixteen percent of Americans are at risk of hunger, which translates into not knowing where their next meal is coming from. Many of those are children.

So go through your pantry, your cupboard and leave some food items for your mail carrier to pick up this Saturday. The drive is sponsored by the National Rural Letter Carriers' Association, Campbell Soup Company, Valpak, the U.S. Postal Service, AFL-CIO, United Way, Feeding America, AARP and Uncle Bob's Self Storage.
