MacDonald Sensational In Shutout

Joey MacDonald, the third string goaltender, was spectacular in goal last night for the Wings. MacDonald was called into action when it was determined that backup goalie, Chris Osgood, was unable to make his planned start. MacDonald stopped all 27 shots from the Columbus Blue Jackets, many at close range to secure the shutout in the 2-0 win.
