Little Joe Camps Out in Cold For Toys For Tots

If Joe Abbott had done this 24 hours ago, he would have had unseasonably warm weather to collect toys and financial donations for Toys For Tots. Instead, he and his helpers are doing all they can to stay warm during his 7th annual toy collection effort. He plans to stay outside from 9 pm to 9 am in front of Little Joe’s bar and restaurant in Grand Blanc.
Ask I spoke with Abbott, cars pulled up and offered up money toward the cause. The Marine Corps League is behind the Toys For Tots campaign, and they need all the help they can get in these tough economic times. Donations of new, unwrapped toys or financial donations will be taken at Little Joe’s on Saginaw near Grand Blanc Road until Saturday, but the sooner the better. It takes a little bit of time and legwork to match up donations with current needs. Christmas is getting closer. If you can help out, it would make Joe Abbott feel a little warmer on this cold, blustery night.
