Letter Carriers Food Drive is May 12

The annual Letter Carriers Food Drive will take place on Saturday, May 12th. You can help hungry people without leaving your home. Simply place a bag of non-perishable food items by your mailbox, and your mail carrier will pick it up for delivery to a local food bank.

This food drive is taking place all across America, but our local area is still facing greater need than most in feeding it's citizens, especially children. Statistics compiled by "Feeding America" show that 27.5% of children in Genesee County live in a "food-insecure" household.

You can change that statistic, by placing a bag of food items near your mailbox on May 12th. Your mail carrier will pick it up and get it to the people who need it.
