Just LOOK AT THAT FACE! So glad he's found a home!

The Ionia County animal shelter was, amazingly, down to ONE ANIMAL living in their care. Pretty amazing, if you know anything about how over-crowded these places can be. However, their last dog, a 7-year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix, was having a hard time finding a furrrever home.

He had been adopted and then returned after a year, and shelter workers say that he wasn't eating and was timid with strangers. That was until Ashlee and her husband John came in.

They had seen his picture on Facebook and wanted to meet him. When he came out of his cage, he was wagging his tail and snuggling. So, Ashlee and John took him home.

And as you can see from the picture, he's obviously very happy. And the Ionia County Animal Shelter is, for the time being, EMPTY.
