Larry Nassar Assaulted in Prison, Requests New Sentencing
Documents filed on Tuesday say that Larry Nassar was assaulted within hours of being released into general population.
Nassar is serving a de facto life sentence (indicating that his sentence will exceed his life expectancy) at an Arizona prison for sexually assaulting seven girls, as well as charges on child pornography.
During his time as an osteopathic physician at Michigan State University, as well as the doctor for the Team USA Olympic gymnasts, he is accused of molesting more than 260 girls and women.
His lawyers are asking that he be sentenced by a different judge, stating that Judge Rosemarie Aquilina had already decided on the maximum sentence for Nassar before his sentencing hearing started.
