Lapeer Schools on Lockdown Due to Prison Break

Lapeer Community Schools remain on lockdown right now because of a prison break at the Thumb Correctional facility.

WNEM reports that the suspect is 31-year-old Darrell Allen Stallard, described as a white male, bald, standing about 5-feet 11 inches and weighing 160 lbs.

Stallard walked away from prison while mowing grass as part of his parole/work-release program.
