Tricia Kortes, the woman who made headlines earlier this year for drop-kicking her son's birthday cake inside a Detroit-area Kroger store, was sentenced today in yet another case. A judge sentenced Kortes to two years probation, and 300 hours of community service for striking an ice cream worker in Royal Oak. The 46-year old will also pay court costs which will exceed $800.

The judge, referencing Kortes' cake-kicking incident, an altercation with a coworker in 2015, and the ice-cream worker assault, noted a pattern.

“Three issues within the span of a year,” the judge said. “Most people walking on this planet are not going to have one issue in a year and you have three in one year.”
