Kris Draper Still Waiting To Hear From Red Wings

After 17 years of wearing a Detroit Red Wings jersey, Kris draper is in limbo on his status with the team in 20011. Draper would love to return to the Wings, but they might not have a spot for him.The Red Wings already have 13 forwards under contract and only expect to carry 14 into the season. If the Wings don't re-sign Draper, he will probably not seek out a contract from other teams. General Manager Ken Holland would like to retain Draper, but it is turning into a numbers game in getting under the salary cap. Draper says he would not accept a two-way contract that would enable the Wings to send him to their affiliate in Grand Rapids.
