Katy Perry learned the hard way that Segways and the desert don't mix.

In an Instagram post on Saturday, Sept. 5, the "Dark Horse" singer shared a hilarious video in which she is seen riding a Segway during a desert wind storm at Burning Man. Perry is seen doing a little circle when she loses control of the self-balancing vehicle, and is seen running after her Segway before finally chasing it down.

"Obviously first time burner alert," she writes in the caption for the video.

Burning Man is the annual festival which traditionally begins on the first Monday of August, and ends on the first Monday of September. The celebration of culture and art gathers thousands of fans at the Black Rock Desert in Nevada and according to the official site, aims to "change the paradigm of art from a commodified object to an interactive, participatory, shared experience of creative expression."

Perry, meanwhile, is taking a well-deserved break before she heads back on the road for her Prismatic World Tour. She kicks off the South America leg of her tour on Sept. 22 with a scheduled concert in Lima, Peru.
