On Monday we told you about Justin Timberlake's new song 'Take Back the Night' and who it was upsetting. Well now the singer has released a statement regarding the controversy.

The national organization 'Take Back the Night' was upset that Timberlake would use their name as a title of a song with sexual lyrics. Timberlake claimed he didn't know about the organization and it was simply a coincidence. However, the anti-sexual violence organization has been around for over 35 years in the U.S. and longer elsewhere.

Well now the singer has addressed the controversy. In a statement, Timberlake said that neither the song or its lyrics have any affiliation with the organization and as he has learned more about them, he is moved by their "efforts to stop violence against women" (see the full statement here).

Is this enough to make things good between the singer and the organization? Or would a donation help?
