It’s Spring! Canadian Geese Arrive In Flint

It's always about this time of year that you hear that familiar "honking" of the Canadian Geese. This past weekend must have been moving day because the annual appearance of the geese in my backyard took place.  In early May of most years the geese find their summer home in the pond out behind my house. They can be noisy, dirty birds, but they can also be beautiful to watch on the water and in flight. My golden retriever, Sammi, loves it when they arrive because often they come up into our backyard and sound off just for her. She, of course, responds with loud barking to offset their honking. It turns into a battle of wills and sound effects. Fortunately, the chain link fence keeps them apart, but it is often just fun

to watch (and listen) to the exchange.
