International Clown Week is August 1-7
This is International Clown Week. August 1st through 7th, wherever there are clowns we will be celebrating. Originally proclaimed as National Clown Week by President Richard Nixon in 1971, the event has grown around the world.
Clowns have long been known as ambassadors of joy and goodwill, and this is the week we celebrate them.
Election Day also happens to fall on August 7th. Coincidence? You be the judge.
