The inmate who overpowered a court deputy and killed two bailiffs at the Berrien County courthouse in St. Joseph Michigan Monday faced numerous felony charges.

Authorities say 44-year-old Larry Darnell Gordon was locked up in April for charges including criminal sexual conduct, assault with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, and aggravated domestic violence.

Joseph Zangaro and Ronald Kienzle died Monday when Gordon opened fire at the facility.
