After fighting the battle and holding out for years and years, I finally caved and joined the smartphone revolution! I have been on my very nice, high-end dumb phone for over two years.  I had my custom ringtones, a somewhat okay camera, and games like Tetris and Frogger.  What more could I possibly need?

Then it happened!  My wife broke her phone, and it made more sense for her to upgrade than to fix her hold phone. Since we were there anyway, and since my 8-year-old knows how to use a smartphone better than I do, I figured it was time to make a change.

Much like a DVR, once you have one, you can't go without it. My new phone is faster than the laptop I bought earlier this year. There is so much to do, I don't know where to start. I obviously downloaded Radio and several other apps, then got everything in order. Consider my mind blown.

I feel like I went from living in a cave to a seat on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise! With all this cool stuff to play with (ooh, something shiny), how will I ever get anything done. With my old phone, I could get caught up in the bathroom for a good 10 minutes over a game of Tetris.  Now, my time on the toilet has ramped up to anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes.

Are you still waiting, or was I the last man on Earth to upgrade to a smartphone? Do smart phones make you more productive, or more of a time-waster?
