I didn't know that could happen!

One of the drawbacks to all of this fancy, new technology is that you can make mistakes like this without even knowing it.

I was in the checkout line at Kroger on Bristol Road, digging through my purse for my debit card to pay for my groceries. All of a sudden, my watch set off some sort of gawd-awful alarm that I had never heard before. I looked down at it and my WATCH WAS CALLING 911!!! I absolutely panicked, hit the "hang up" icon and got my groceries.

As soon as I got out to my car, I called 911 back to tell them that it was an accidental call. They took my name and canceled it out. And then, I checked my texts...THEY TEXT YOU! Did you know that? I didn't! As you can see, I texted them back and everything was resolved.

So, I learned my lesson. Leaning on your Apple watch the wrong way can call 911. Which is great in the right situation, but terrible when you're bagging groceries.

Careful with that fancy technology, folks. Thanks for your patience, Genesee County 911.
