Hurricane Irene — in 3 minutes [VIDEO]

NASA, Goddard Space StationThe Cars 108 forecast says we could be in for some storms this weekend around Flint, but certainly nothing like Hurricane Irene which battered the East Coast this past week.

Since most of us busy Midwesterners haven’t been through a storm of that magnitude, you can see what one looks like through this time-lapse video after the jump…

Marc Anderson set up his camera in New York City to take one photo every 30 seconds for the duration of the storm – 48 hours compressed into about three minutes. The view here is looking south toward the tip of Manhattan.
