It may come as a surprise, but Michigan is among the worst states in the US for human trafficking. Although Michigan's exact rank can vary, some sources put the Mit in second place in the country, topped only by Nevada.

Experts say Michigan provides provides increased opportunity for human trafficking because of its borders with Canada and easy access to the Great Lakes.
