How I Spent the 4th of July

A lot of you are spending your 4th of July with family and friends, enjoying a cookout or a day at the lake.  My wife and I headed for Lowell, Michigan to run the T-Rex Ten Miler this morning, up and down hilly trails.

My wife beat me by several minutes, but we both placed in the top 3 in our age groups.  Once we got back, it was time to take care of some yard work.  Time to varmit-proof our garden, as a woodchuck has been defoliating our broccoli and pole beans. 

After the new fence was in, it was time to cool off.  We were both too tired to head to a local beach, so we did the next best thing.  Turned on the sprinkler!  That's how you keep cool on a day like today.
