Horror Film Actor Sid Haig is Dead at 80

The actor had a serious accident last week and passed away on Saturday.

Sig Haig, best known for his role as Captain Spaulding in House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects, has passed away at the age of 80, according to a post from his wife on Instagram.

His final film appearance is in the last installment of the horror franchise, 3 From Hell, which was just released.

His wife announced that he had been admitted to the ICU after a serious accident last week, without providing further details. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday night.
