An Inexpensive Way to Brighten Your Yard – J’s How To
It is the season to be outdoors. Each year I always try and choose a couple of projects to invest time and energy in that make my home look better. Here is a simple and inexpensive way to brighten your yard.
Another advantage is that hopefully it will increase it’s value. Today’s project was a simple one, adding new foliage to the yard and deck. This year I decided to try something new, to give it a feel of the tropics! A new addition this year in the way of flowers and plants, are palm trees. I came across them at Meijer a few weeks ago and had an idea for the deck and pool area.
These Majesty Palm Trees were priced at just $9.99 and give such a feeling of the tropics. I realized that I spend just as much on a flat of flowers as I would for one of these trees, and even if I can’t keep them through the winter, at that cost I could replace them annually if needed.
I placed a couple on the upper deck and then placed two of them in the ground on the walkway to the pool. It’s an idea that you are welcome to steal if you are looking for a way to brighten up your backyard this summer!
