Donald Gould is the homeless piano player who captured America's attention last week with his rendition of 'Come Sail Away' by Styx. Now his son, who grew up in Michigan, has encouraging words for his birth father.

“I want to just help him clean his act up,” Donny told Inside Edition.

Gould lost his his son after his wife committed suicide, and he became addicted to alcohol. Donny was adopted by a family in Michigan when he was 5 years old.

The elder Gould attended Spring Arbor University in Michigan as a young man, but dropped out before graduating.
