A former parking lot of General Motors had grown into a tiny hidden community of tent-dwelling homeless men. They call it Tent City and they have been living on the former GM property for almost 10 years during the summer. They govern themselves and have lived without electricity or running water until the cold of winter forces most of them to seek shelter elsewhere. Until now...The men were forced from their homes this week under orders from the Burton police and the property owner. The population of Tent City had swelled to as high as 14 people some summers. Now they have nowhere to go.
