Holy Cow! Farmer Pays $172,000 For Jersey Cow [Video]

As a farm wife, I try to stay out of my husband’s purchasing decisions. Stuff just tends to show up in the yard. But if I found out that he ever spent $172,000 for a cow, I’d kill him! This farmer must have a more understanding partner.

She is lovely, for a cow, and her name is Karlie. The Jersey was purchased for $172,000, making her the most expensive Jersey cow ever sold at auction. The Connecticut farmer who bought her says Karlie is just one of those cows that people “love to look at”. He also claims it’s really “all about her udders”. That sounds kind of sexist to me!

Karlie looks like she might be destined for a life of luxury. Check her story out in the video below.
