Construction began on Monday, so expect some delays.

Apparently, it's not just a saying in Michigan - it's a saying EVERYWHERE. There are two seasons - winter and construction. And we are definitely in the hot middle of the latter.

Construction has begun on Center Road between Lippincott Boulevard and Lapeer Road. The rehabilitation project is to give drivers less of a "bumpy" ride.

The work, which is scheduled to be done at the end of the summer, includes hot asphalt milling and resurfacing, drainage/pavement repairs, pedestrian signal installation, curb/gutter work, and ramp upgrades that will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

So yes, there will be some delays. But let's keep our eyes on the prize - it's gonna be great when it's done, right?!
