Healing Hands 5k Enjoys Great Weather, Great Support

Saturday morning was the 17th annual Healing Hands 5k run and walk to benefit the Genesee County Free Medical Clinic. It was a beautiful day for the race, and it helped raise needed funds to keep the clinic going so it may serve local folks who otherwise might not receive medical care.

Cars 108's Rod Prahin teamed up with ABC 12's Angie Hendershot to start the race and hand out awards and door prizes afterwards. To my surprise, I actually got a medal for being the second place finisher in my age group.

A big thank you goes out to all who participated, volunteered, and or sponsored this event. It is always a good feeling when you can help others while doing something you love to do. See you at next year's Healing Hands 5k!
