Head On Collision In Michigan Caught On Police Dashcam (VIDEO)

The Michigan State Police dashcam shows the truck barreling the wrong way down U.S. 131.

But less than 20 seconds later the driver of that truck 29-year-old Jeremy Smeltzer would smash head-on into the car of 21-year-old Jaryd Ford.

Dash-camera video from the trooper’s car, as well as footage from a second trooper’s cruiser, capture the moments leading up the April 15 crash and then the horrific collision, which killed both Ford and Smeltzer. A passenger in Ford’s car, Megan Covey, 26, of Wayland, suffered injuries in the crash that were not life-threatening.

Police are waiting for toxicology reports to come back on the drivers.
