Haunted Winchester Mystery House to Offer Overnight Stays

Ghost nerds (like us) unite! One of the most haunted American landmarks, the Winchester Mystery House, has secured permits to allow overnight stays.

Not only that, but they've also got permits that allow guests to drink alcohol! What could go wrong, right?

The house, located in San Jose, California. belonged to gun heiress Sarah Winchester, and was built over a period of 40 years. The house has 160 rooms and is spread over 6 acres, with many of the rooms and staircases leading to nowhere. Sarah said that she wanted to "confuse" any evil spirits of the dead that were killed by her family's guns.

The house has never allowed lodging before, but on March 5th, the property acquired permits from San Jose to allow lodging. No joke, I'd totally go here for an overnight stay.
