‘Hall of Fame” Group Recorded Under An ‘Alias’

It was November of 1965 and this group had already laid the groundwork on it's way to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. At the time they had already amassed 20 Top 40 hits, four #1's and three gold records. To test their their success, they decided to record a song under a different name. Pictured is the 45rpm record that they released as The Wonder Who, can you identify this group? Just a little piece of Rock and Roll history.

It was Frankie Vallie & the Four Seasons. This was the first of 4 singles released as The Wonder Who. Why they did it is still unclear, but the 'sound" of the Four Seasons style was a dead giveaway.
