Gun Range Near a School – Is That OK?

In most cities there are ordinances that prevent liquor stores, strip clubs, or bars from being too close to to schools. So, what do you think about the close proximity of  a gun range?

In Waterbury, CT citizens are literally up in arms. A new zoning proposal for a gun range and a firearms store has been approved just down the street from an elementary school.

Politicians say it will help fuel the local economy, but others are not so happy about it. A shooting range produces spent shell casings and those contain lead.

Would that be acceptable in a community here in Flint?
