Graphic, Post-Mortem Photo Of Bombing Suspect Leaked

 Boston Marathon Bombing Suspects

The source of the photo isn’t clear, but it appears to have been taken soon after the body of Tamerlan Tsaranaev, the first alleged Boston bombing suspect was turned over to law enforcement.

The photo shows gunshots to Tsamaev’s body as well as a large thorocotomy incision on his chest. The facial discoloring is what the medical examiner termed “purplish lividity”.

Suspect #1 was taken to Boston’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and in an interview the chief of that hospital’s emergency medical services department, Dr. Richard Wolfe, stresses that the photo was not taken by anyone at the hospital.
