Grand Blanc Twp. Residents Seek Zip Code Change to Distance Themselves From Flint [VIDEO]

Would you rather have a 'Flint' or a 'Grand Blanc' address? That's what I thought. Hundreds of residents and businesses that are located in Grand Blanc Township but have Flint mailing addresses, are seeking a zip code change to 48439 in order to have coveted Grand Blanc addresses.

Are they attempting to disassociate themselves with Flint?

Township officials tell WJRT that the township is petitioning the US Post Office to eliminate confusion, and because those affected may be able to realize savings on their home, business, and auto insurance. Riiiiiiiight.
