The police department has received multiple calls over the last month.

Interesting that this came out when it did because somebody posted in our subdivision Facebook page that their car had been "rummaged through" the night before, and they were wondering if anybody else had their car broken into.

The Grand Blanc Township Police Department is warning residents that break-ins are on the rise, and are advising people NOT to leave valuables in their cars, and to also keep their cars locked overnight.

This is unusual, according to the police, because these kinds of crimes usually happen in the summer. Credit cards, laptops and smaller items have been taken.

Could it be the warm winter we've been having? Either way, lock your car or park it in the garage. You can never be too safe.
