Grand Blanc Priest Accused of Inappropriate Contact With Students

A Priest from the Church of the Holy Family in Grand Blanc (11804 S. Saginaw St.) has been removed from his post at the church, while he faces allegations that he touched students in an inappropriate manner.

The Cathollic Diocese of Lansing released an online statement, saying that an investigation into the actions of Father Ken Coughlin has begun. Accusations have been made by two students who are claiming that Coughlin touched them inappropriately on the hands and legs.

According to NBC-25, Coughlin denies any wrongdoing. Child Protective Services of Michigan has been contacted, and is beginning an investigation. Coughlin, the Parish, and the Diocese are reported to be giving their full cooperation.

Father Coughlin has been placed on administrative leave during the investigation.
