Google Searches For 2013 – Nelson Mandela Leads List

It was the passing of legends that led the searches on Google for the year. .

It was the former leader of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, who died earlier this month, who turned out to be the most searched topic on Google in 2013. Coming in at second place was another high profile tragedy, Paul Walker, who dies in a passed away in a car crash in the latter part of the year.

Also making the top five of the list were former ‘Glee’ star Cory Monteith, who died from a drug overdose during the summer, and the Boston Marathon Bombing.
