If you want your kids to continue reading this summer, you can sign up for the summer reading program with the Genesee District Library. It kicks off next Saturday at various library locations throughout the county.

Once someone has signed up for the program, they have a chance to win great prizes, which is an incentive for reading a lot of books. They could win an Ipod Shuffle, Crossroad Village passes, tickets to see the Tigers, Wiggles tickets, or a chance to win Selena Gomez tickets.

While supplies last, there will be summer reading sign up prizes, along with several activities taking place that day. There will also be presentations with bubble magic and Animals from around the World.

There will be several locations where you can sign up your child for the program, but the official kick-off on the 18 will start at 11am at the Grand Blanc McFarland Library. From 12-2pm, you can buy a hot dog and pop for just $1. We'll also be at this location, so look for us for a chance to win other great Cars prizes.
