You've got questions, they've got... nothin'! After rapidly expanding, remodeling, and refocusing their brand over the last few years, Radio Shack is struggling to remain profitable and is now forced to restructure. In doing so, the company is closing more than 1,700 stores nationwide, 50 in Michigan and six in the Greater Flint area.

My wife and I meet for lunch at Genesee Valley Mall just about once every week, and the last time we were there I was surprised to see that the location there has already closed. I used to work at the Courtland Center store, but that one has been gone for a long time now.

The six stores in our area that are on the chopping block are the Clio, Miller and Center Road stores in Flint, State Street in Davison, Saginaw Street in Grand Blanc and Vienna Road in Clio. Does that leave any locations in Genesee County? Get the full closing list by clicking here.
