A spaghetti dinner fundraiser is being held at an area school to help a local family with funeral costs for their 19-year-old son.

Matt Wilke passed away suddenly in January when he was in a car accident and Atherton cheerleaders are hosting a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Tuesday to help offset some of the costs of his his funeral.

Dinner will be $5 a plate or $20 for a family according to the Atherton cheerleaders who say the school's family "will not be the same" without Matt whose mom is a bus driver for the district. The dinner will be available during the Red Out basketball game from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Atherton Junior/Senior High School located at 3354 S. Genesee Rd. in Burton.

Along with helping the Wilke family, Red Out t-shirts, bracelets and hearts will also be available for purchase with proceeds benefitting the American Heart Association. More information can be found here: www.facebook.com/athertoncommunityschools
