Fundraiser For Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation Set For Sunday

Thomas Smith was a Flushing High School senior who passed away very suddenly at the the age of 17 from Sudden Cardiac Arrest. His family is inviting the community to attend the first fundraiser to support the Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation. Get details after the jump.

The goal of the Thomas Smith Memorial Foundation is to provide free heart screenings to high school students, and to provide hospitals with mobile cardiac equipment. Did you know that 4 to 5 high school students die each year because of undetected heart disease?

The fundraiser will take place this Sunday, May 20, at the Lunch At City Shoppes on Main Street in Flushing. Hours will be 11.30am - 4pm.
