Kids out of school, and bugging you for something fun. We found something that has you covered, big time!

Maranda, the kids and family expert reporter of WOTV in Grand Rapids, is bringing her very popular "Maranda Park Party" on the road to Flint this Friday (6/17) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Mott Community College.

This is the first "Maranda Park Party" event in Flint and includes free food, prizes, games, and entertainment. Maranda has been doing the Park Parties in West Michigan for over 22 years, and decided to bring the fun over to Flint after hearing about the Flint Water Crisis. Here's what Maranda had to say about it:

As I thought about the situation, I wanted to do something to help and it brought me to the very reason we've been doing Park Parties in West Michigan for the past 22 years -- to provide an afternoon of free, no strings attached fun to kids who need it. I contacted our key partners and asked if they would be open to bringing a Park Party to the children of Flint. I was thrilled at their responses! Everyone is invited and everything is free!

Flint kids will enjoy free lunches from the USDA, the Michigan Department of Education and Flint Public Schools. Kids will get loaded up with a ton of free stuff like backpacks, ice creams, books, toothbrushes, apples, and more. There will also be music, dancing, a lot of prizes, and Ronald McDonald will make an appearance as well. There will be a 3D climbing wall, giant slide, and an extreme obstacle course. Transitions School of Cosmetology Careers at Mott Community College will be providing free kids haircuts.

The Park Party will be on the south lawn of the Regional Technology Center at Mott Community College.
