This is the seventh year that Mott has done the event, partnering with Help-Portrait.

Help-Portrait is a worldwide organization of photographers, hairstylists and make-up artists who take the time to give free portraits to people who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford them.

The group is partnering with Mott Community College and having students from their photography program, their cosmetology program, and their early-childhood development program assist them.

There will be four studios and backdrops for families to choose from, along with one that's Christmas-themed. Portraits can take up to an hour to complete, and participants will be given a CD that gives them the copyrights to their photos.

It's happening at the Mott Community College Event Center, 1401 E. Court St. on Saturday from 12-4 PM.

FANTASTIC event. Read some of the stories on their Facebook page - they'll warm your heart.
