Free City Art Festival in Flint this Weekend
A three-day art festival at the former manufacturing site known as Chevy in the Hole begins tonight. Artists from throughout the community, country and the world will converge on Flint to “temporarily reclaim” the site. The event kicks-off tonight at 6 p.m. with a performance by Flint-based steel drum band, The Steelheads. After their performance, there will be speeches by Mayor Dayne Walling, Congressman Dan Kildee, and Stephen Zacks, director of the Flint Public Art Project, which is putting on the event.
