Free Bicycle Helmet Fitting This Weekend

If you want to make sure you're wearing the proper helmet or to make sure your child is wearing the right one, Genesys Trauma Services and Injury Prevention will assist in fittings on Saturday. The free bike fitting will be all summer, but you can go to Bicentennial Park from noon to 4 and get checked.

Zach Landers, RN, Injury Prevention specialist with Genesys Trauma Services stated in a recent press release that they've seen so many head injuries from people not wearing the proper helmet:

"Our goal as an injury prevention center for Genesee County and its surrounding communities is to educate riders of all ages on the proper fit for a bicycle helmet, and to make sure they are wearing a helmet. Our team will fit helmets for all ages and provide brief, hands on education during the process."

Genesys Trauma Services and Injury Prevention will be partnering with Assenmacher's Cycling Center  for the event on Saturday.
