'America's Most Wanted' is officially no longer wanted on Fox, as the network announced Monday that it is canceling the long-running program after 23 years on the air.

The reason: The show was no longer profitable, according to Fox entertainment president Kevin Reilly.

"It's been an important show for us historically," he said. "We haven't made money on the show in quite a while. It wasn't particularly viable. We wanted to keep the franchise alive. John [Walsh] is having conversations about ways to keep the series alive."

Fox added that it will still air four quarterly 'Wanted' specials next season, so wanted criminals may want to keep looking over their shoulders for the time being.
